Repère

Terms of use

In force since 2026-09-28.

These terms govern the use of the Repère website and API. Using the service means accepting them.

What the service does

Repère queries the ADEME register of REP producers and returns what that register contained for a given company, on a given date, for a given stream, together with the elements needed to check it independently.

What the service does not do

Repère does not tell you whether a company is compliant. Compliance is a legal conclusion that depends on facts we do not hold, and the API deliberately contains no such field. The evidence we return is input to your own assessment, not a substitute for it, and it is not legal advice.

Accuracy and source

The data mirrors a public register we do not control. We report what the register said and when we read it. We do not warrant that the register itself is complete or up to date, and an absence of record is reported as an absence of record — never as a finding of non-registration.

Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for keeping your API key secret and for what is done with it. Tell us promptly if it leaks and we will revoke it. One account is for one organisation: do not resell raw access.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to overload the service, work around quotas, or use it to build a bulk copy of the register — the source data is public and available directly from ADEME if that is what you need.

Availability

The service is operated on a best-effort basis and may be interrupted for maintenance or by failures upstream. Planned interruptions are announced when they can be foreseen.

Liability

We are liable for damage we actually cause. We are not liable for decisions you take on the basis of evidence we returned accurately, nor for errors present in the public register itself. Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude — in particular towards consumers.

Governing law

French law applies. A consumer may bring proceedings in the courts where they live, and keeps the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
